Lost your remote? Just moved into a new house and need to clear out the previous owner's remotes? Adding a second car and need a matching remote? Need to program your HomeLink in a new vehicle? We handle all of it, same day in most cases.
Moving In? Clear the Previous Owner's Remotes.
This is one of our most common calls, and most Las Vegas homeowners do not realize they need it until we point it out. When you close escrow on a home, every remote the previous owner programmed still works the garage door. So do every remote they gave to contractors, cleaners, pet sitters, ex-family members, and anyone else over the years. Until that opener's memory is wiped, all of those remotes are still authorized to open your garage and, in most cases, get into your home.
We clear the opener's memory in minutes and reprogram only your remotes, your keypads, and your vehicle HomeLink systems. For anyone buying a resale home in the Vegas valley, this is one of the cheapest and highest impact security steps you can take on move-in week.
What Else We Program
New remote replacement. When a remote is lost, broken, or a battery is permanently dead, we provide and program a new matched remote. We carry LiftMaster, Chamberlain, Genie, and Marantec remotes on the truck, and we can match nearly any residential opener made in the last 20 years.
Keypad programming. Exterior keypads let anyone with the PIN get in without a remote. We program new keypads, reset forgotten PINs, and replace failed keypads.
HomeLink and car programming. Most modern cars have a HomeLink system built into the rearview mirror or headliner. We sync HomeLink to your opener, whether it is an older fixed code system or a modern Security+ 2.0 rolling code system. Some newer HomeLink systems require a bridge module for compatibility with newer openers, and we handle that too.
Security Code Formats
Older openers use fixed codes that are easier to clone. Modern openers use encrypted rolling codes (Security+ or Security+ 2.0 on LiftMaster and Chamberlain, Intellicode on Genie). If your opener is older and security is a concern, an opener upgrade is often a better investment than continuing to buy compatible remotes. See opener installation and repair.
Pricing
Remote programming as part of another service call is typically included. Standalone remote programming, keypad sync, or memory wipe calls in Las Vegas typically cost somewhere in the $60 to $150 range depending on the number of remotes, keypads, car syncs, and whether new hardware is included. We always quote the full price before the work starts.
